ACTOR BIO

Robin Strasser, 1982 winner of the Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama, plays the role of Dorian Lord on One Life To Live. She also created the roles of Rachel on Another World, Christina on All My Children and Hecuba, a 300 year old witch on Passions (for which, in 2001, she was named Soap Opera Digest's Outstanding Scene Stealer). As Dorian, in 1996, she won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actress and the Soap Opera Update Award for Best Actress.

Born in the Bronx and raised in Manhattan, she graduated from the High School of Performing Arts and attended the Yale School of Drama on a full scholarship. She appeared on Broadway in Michael Cristofer's Pulitzer Prize-winning The Shadow Box, and played the coveted role of Jenny in Neil Simon's Chapter Two. A founding member of the American Conservatory Theatre, she has worked with such prestigious companies as the Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Mark Taper Forum and Playwrights Horizons.

On primetime television Ms. Strasser starred in the miniseries, Baby M, GLITZ, Blind Faith, and Jackie Collins' Lady Boss. She had recurring roles on Knots Landing and Coach, and made guest appearances on Murphy Brown, Dear John, Murder, She Wrote, China Beach, The Young Riders, Highway to Heaven, Civil Wars and Dharma and Greg.

Ms. Strasser was elected to, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of, the New York Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Ms. Strasser served as president of L.A.'s Women in Theatre for two years, produced three Equity Waiver Productions, sold her first teleplay and produced videos in the areas of women's health and fitness. She is active in fundraising for AIDS research, the Actor's Fund, is on the Advisory Board of the American Menopause Foundation, and has been a pro-bono spokesperson for the National Osteoporosis Foundation.

She produced a CD with her fellow One Life to Live cast-mates to aid New Orleans/Gulf Coast Hurricane Relief efforts called One Life, Many Voices. The CD is available at www.onelifemanyvoices.com

She has renovated twenty-two houses and apartments, is a certified Level-One Kripalu Yoga teacher, an avid hiker and gourmet cook. She's the proud mother of two grown sons, Nicholas and Benjamin Luckinbill.
