CHARACTER BIO

ON THE ISLAND: After bailing from the helicopter that ultimately carried the Oceanic 6, Sawyer swam back to the island. The time flashes eventually take him to the '70s, where he settles down with Juliet as Dharma employees. To everyone in Dharma, he is known as Jim LaFleur, the head of security.

ACTOR BIO

We don't usually find ourselves drawn to con artists, but when it's Josh Holloway portraying the smooth swindler in question, how can we resist?

For half a decade, Holloway appeared in TV guest spots and roles in movies most people have never heard of. But in 2004 that all changed when he caught Hollywood by storm with his unassuming style and southern charm, announcing his arrival on ABC's Lost as James "Sawyer" Ford.

Holloway was born in California, but his family moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia when he was only two. He and his three brothers grew up in rural Georgia, which contributed greatly to his deep love for nature. He studied at the University of Georgia but left after only a year for New York City to become a male fashion model, which took him all over North America and Europe. He soon realized that his calling was to the performing arts. He eventually moved to Los Angeles and landed small parts in such shows as NCIS and CSI, as well as roles in several independent films.

In 2005, People magazine named Holloway one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World. In the summer of 2006, he appeared in a non-profit self-defense project, Just Yell Fire, intended to teach teenage girls techniques to defend themselves against abductors and rapists.

Holloway inked a deal to be the new worldwide face of Davidoff Cool Water fragrance, which had him appearing worldwide in TV commercials and print ads.

Holloway is a born adrenaline junkie, longing for the thrill of extreme sports like snowboarding and dirt biking. He is also known to tone it down on occasion by boating, sports fishing and playing guitar. He currently resides in Hawaii with his wife, Yessica.
