ACTOR BIO

Natalia Livingston returned to "General Hospital" in January 2009 to take on the new role of Rebecca Shaw, a mysterious girl in Port Charles who coincidentally looks a lot like Emily Quartermaine, the character she portrayed for over four years. For her powerful portrayal of Emily, Natalia received her first Emmy Award in May 2005 in the category of Best Supporting Actress.

Ms. Livingston's father, a physician, who in his free time spearheads an organization called "For the Sake of Humanity," promoting cultural diversity, and her mother, an artist and Spanish teacher, instilled in Natalia an appreciation for all people and a love for life. The Georgia native remains unaffected by her Hollywood success.

Although she started acting in high school, Ms. Livingston always knew she wanted to be an actress. While obtaining her degree in Sociology from Emory University, she took every acting class the university offered and starred in several student films. After an internship in social work after graduation, she took the giant step of moving to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting. She was "discovered" while working at a Home Depot in Hollywood and quickly landed five McDonalds commercials in Spanish, a language she is fluent in. More recently, Ms. Livingston has appeared in a variety of different projects, including "Pop Star," "West of Brooklyn" and "Rough Hustle." She will be seen in the film "Fight or Flight," slated to be released in 2009.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, going to plays and the movies, going to the beach and hiking. She resides in Los Angeles.
