Hi, Extreme Makeover,my name is Caitlin Rose, and i am from LA, but moved to Oregon. First of all I just wanted to thank each and everyone of you for what kindness and hard work you have put in for all those families. It's incredible. My mom and I actually met Michael at his shops Le Garage and Masion Luxe several years ago before he was even on Extreme Makeover, and we could tell right then that he had an amazing heart. All of you guys have amazing hearts! Anyway, I was just wondering if there will be another opportunity to get on the bus in the future, because I would love to help change someone's life. Thank you so much, Caitlin Rose.

Hi Extreme Team! My name is Annie Share and I am a 13-year old from St. Louis Park, MN. On your show, I saw the opportunity to apply to "Get on The Bus." I am very interested in participating, because I honestly want to find a way to give back to the community. I recently had a bat mitzvah, meaning I am now considered a Jewish adult. However, I feel that having this ceremony means I am only just beginning my journey into adulthood. And, on this journey, I feel that I need to learn to give back and thank those who have given me so many opportunities in my life. Also, as a bat- mitzvah, you are supposed to participate in a charity project. For my charity, I donated $250 to Smile Train in order to provide one child with a life changing surgery. I also plan on having a benefit showing of the movie "Smile Pinki." I am also participating in the Boom Boom Revolution, where you have a deck of 26 cards each with an act of kindness on them . You are then supposed to do these acts, and record your story on the Boom Boom website. Finally, you pass the card on and follow it online. Another life changing experience would be "getting on the bus" and experiencing such an amazing project. I know that it is probably too late to apply, because the application is no longer available on your website. I would just like to know if it is still even possible to offer my help and somehow participate in the program, because I really think that what you do on your show is spectacular. All in all, I feel that I have been given so many opportunities in my life, maybe I have even been spoiled a little bit, and I just want to find a way to give back. Thank you so much for your time and consideration! Annie Share

Hi EMHE, I'm a stay at home mum from Australia and I watch your show every chance I get. My question is: I want to know how I can do the same as you, here in Australia? I feel that there are many deserving families in our vast country that could use an experience like what you give to so many people in America, but I don't know who I should contact. Do you have a sister station in Australia that I could contact or do you know anyone I could approach about this? I beleive what you do is incredibly generous and would love to be involved in projects like this in my country. We have similar shows here but not on the scale of your program, the most that gets done is a renovation, which don't get me wrong, I think that's wonderful but to give families a new begining the way you do is truely an amazing thing. My e-mail address is tracegrace@hotmail.com I would really appreciate any feedback you can give. Many thanks. Tracey.

LOCK & KEY PRODUCTIONS C/O Family Casting P.O.Box 38670 Los Angeles, CA 90038 RE: Eligibility of Homeless Shelter for Extreme Makeover Home Edition Monday, November 23, 2009 Dear Counselors: This missive is directed to your attention at the request of Ray Krug, director of the Cedar House Emergency Shelter, a 501(c)3 non-profit provider of “emergency lodging for the homeless” in Cedar Rapids, IA. Director Krug and Assistant Director Tom McElroy III are avid fans of the Extreme Makeover Home Edition series, and want to know whether a facility like theirs is eligible for consideration in your 2010 schedule of extreme makeovers. Staff and residents are eager to complete your EMHE application and compile the requested videotape, etc., but understand that their enthusiastic efforts may be for naught if non-profit homeless shelters such as the Cedar House are ineligible for consideration. The shelter is an old Greek Revival house of some 2000+ square feet, built in the 1920’s. Cedar House Emergency Shelter provides services to as many as 16 persons, including a mix of single men and women, married couples with or without children, and single parents with children. Resident stays average 14 days; a Cedar House “family” at any given time will include colorful and pathos-evoking individuals. Director Krug allows no sex offenders, persons with outstanding warrants, or current substance abusers. For more on the Cedar House Emergency Shelter, call, write, or consult their website at http://sites.google.com/site/thecedarhouseemergencyshelter/. This letter has been pasted as an email to your “Ask EMHE – Submit a Question” link, and a hard copy sent to provide a duplicate inquiry, since it seems off-topic under the current comment category. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Tom Tasseff PR Director, The Cedar House

Hi, My name is Sam and I live in Australia. I love the show and wake up at 5:30 every morning so that I can watch the show before I go to work. I was watching recently and saw some great animal photos that Paige used in a child's room who wants to be a vet. I have a daughter named Paige who is 7 and adores animals and who also wants to be a vet. I thought the photos were fantastic and so special, I was wondering if I could get copies of the photos to use in my daughter's room? I would be happy to get them electronically. Thanks for your consideration. Sam

I am a loyal fan of extreme make-overs but I have a question. I have never seen a african american get a make-over or a single parent. I know that you guys are great and for everything that you do to help is great. But my heart is sad because I have never seen a eposide when either one of these situations has occurred.

I think you haven't watched the show enough. I have seen both of these situations several times. If you have the chance, watch reruns on CMT. You might catch a past one of these situations on there. I remember one black lady and her children that was so giving to the community. She made uniforms and sold them out of her house or sometimes gave them away but all the while her house was basically falling down around them. They only had 1 bathroom and it didn't work right. They not only built her and her family a new house but built a little shop on the front for her uniform business and gave her sewing equipment, racks, dressing rooms and more to help the business. It was a wonderful episode. I remember other families as well. Hope this helps. Jim Cunningham MrSafety88

Lourdes Quinteros Arlington Virginia Does Extreme Makeover do make overs for private non-profit organizations? If so, I provide pro bono consulting services for an excellent organization that has provided services to the Mt. Pleasant community in Washington DC for 30 years. The organization is in need of a major makeover. A little bit about the organization: The Family Place is 501(c) (3) community-based not-for-profit organization that provides direct human services to low income families and children in the Washington, D.C. area. Since it’s founding in 1980, The Family Place has been a welcoming and friendly community center committed to providing support services to families and children in the areas of literacy, domestic violence, and nutrition education. I have watched Extreme MAKEOVER HOME EDITION since season one. I live in Canada, and always wondered if they have ever done an episode in Canada that I might have missed. I know someone in Canada that needs and deserves this opertunity. I believe it would be one of the most remarkible episodes to be made. Is it worth nominating someone who resides in Canada? This opertunity would benifit a truely derservnig family and community.

Hi there, my name is Shauna. I am a long time viewer! You are all such inspiration in my life. You make me want to do what i can to help others. That is why I have started Caileigh's Crusade for Handicap Accessible Playgrounds! I am the mother of a disabled 5 yr old little girl. I remember while watching an episode about two weeks ago you all installed a handicap accessible playground that was placed in the backyard of a dad so he could play with his kids. The town I live in has nothing accessible to my daughter. It absolutely breaks my heart that she can't go to the park because she cannot play on their equipment and if we try she risks serious injury. Is it possible to receive information on the materials used in that playground? It would be amazing to be able to recommend some of those things to my city parks and rec. for use in a park if they agree to build one. Your work is amazing. I hope that you keep on keeping on with your blessings and are able to make the daily lives of others less fortunate easier. God Bless you all.

Shirlene Cross Indianola, Oklahoma impossible_kat@yahoo.com I'm reposting my question because I've messed it all up and I don't know if you email us to let us know when the show will be on or if our question will even make the show, but if it doesn't make the show and one of the guys has the time, just maybe, I was hoping they may email me with an idea or time or so what. To the team, please tell them Thank you for all they do and thank you to the network also. I work full time and have 3 other children that have games and other school things so I don't also get to see the show and this is a very important question. First of all I want to say your show brings me to tears. You are wonderful people and you have blessed many families. I think my question will help many people. Here goes, I have a ten year daughter named Crystan. She is a very happy child. She is a special child and has to go thru lots. She has problems with her skin, she can't talk and not potty trained she is like a two year old in some areas with the strenth of a 15 year old. We are very blessed but I'm having problems. I've tried to fix her room up to be safe and pretty and give her a nice place to play, but it's not working out. We are getting in the danger zone with her. She is very strong and moves her furniture around, blocking her bedroom door so we can't get in her room to her, or making things fall that could hurt her or getting stuck in toys (a play kitchen set) She has a metal bed frame now (one of many we have replaced) and has broke it so if she falls it could hurt her so i'm going to have to take that out of her room and just put the mattresses on the floor again. so now all she will have is toys and her mattress on the floor. I've tried to put up pretty things on her wall, but that hasn't worked either. I have to lock her in the room at night for fear that she will get out and harm herself or burn the house down. You would fall in love with her, she loves to play and laughs and she never meets a stranger. I'm not asking that you come and do this for me or pay for it, but I am asking for help as in what to do. I know you do this all this time to help people and you all are very smart. I need something she won't get hurt on, she can't move and won't fall on her or that she can't get stuck in, but we live week to week as many so I need it to be a cheap but safe idea. I'm sure there are many other families out there with a child like my crystan and if you would air this to help us make our little ones safe and happy we would be grateful. You could even save a life by your idea, so please give me an idea of what to do. Sometimes I'm scared to go to sleep at night because of what she might do, or have dreams that I get up in the morning and she is hurt and I slept thru it. Please please please give me an idea of how to make her safe. I hate to see the day she learns to unlock the doors. Again please please please, all i'm asking for is your building idea's and smarts. Crystan has been thru many many test and surgeries, she deserves a room that she is safe in, and I need a piece of mind so I can rest better at night. I love you guys and thank you for all the families you have blessed. It makes me believe in the caring and kind hearts of people, how they come together in a time of need of others. One day I would love to be someone that will change someone's life also.

****CORRECTION**** Hello to everyone at Extreme Makeover Home Edition. My name is Sarah Larson I’m a 17 year old senior, preparing to graduate High School. I would like to apply for a home makeover, but I want it to be a surprise for my family if by the grace of God we are picked. My father and mother had my older brother before they were married. Then 6 years after he was born my dad went to protect our nation in the Gulf War. With his return home, he brought an unfortunate skin rash that effects his daily work. Ever since I was born my father has been working as a mechanic on second shift (3pm through 11pm). Because of this fact I have never really gotten to have that father daughter relationship I’ve always longed for. My mother is diabetic and has a vast variety of psychological disabilities. She is still capable to work as a security guard, but with that brings paranoia. I suffer from chronic migraines if I’m pushed to exertion so I am unable to help out around the house as much as I wish. Around 15 years ago my father renovated our basement into a at home daycare, but after my mom was diagnosed with diabetes she quite child care. Now both my parents work second shift. My mothers weekends are Mon-Tues and my fathers are Sat-Sun. While I’m still at school I rarely see my parents. My 23 year old brother also lives with us along with his girlfriend. They moved in about 3 years ago to help with the mortgage, but bills are still piling on top of each other. Our house is falling apart from under our feet. One of our bathrooms has two giant holes in the ceiling, covered in mold. We are unable to flush the toilet after every use because our pluming isn’t working properly. We live near a creek and often times it over flows causing are basement floor to absorb the water, I’m rather positive we have mold growing there as well. Because of all our past animals and the day care our rugs are severely worn and have an irremovable smell of animal urine. Please Ty, and everyone at Extreme Makeover Home Edition, help me bring a miracle to my family.

My name is Brittany Alexander. I am from Webb City, Missouri. I am writing to you because my fellow employees and I would like to nominate our boss for the Extreme Makeover. The only thing is, she needs the makeover for her daycare, more than she does her house. Her husband had had many problems with his health and is now disabled. She is the soul provider in her household, supporting one daughter in high school and another daughter with a baby, that is in college. Thankfully her son has graduated, but she was also supporting him through college as well. With no help from her husband, it is very hard for her to make enough to support the whole family on her own. At the daycare, she takes more foster children than she is suppose to which does not enable her to make very much money. She is always leanient with families that cannot make payments, and always thinks of others before herself. There is a need for more school ager room at the daycare and she cannot afford to add on, which would enable her also to make more money to help support her family. We wanted to know if this makeover would even be possible, we were going to submit an application but we wanted to double check first. Thank you for your help! Sincerely, Brittany Alexander

Hello Ty, I'm paige and I'm only 13 years old, I live with my mom, my sister, and our cat Baby. We live in a rented apartment in piney ridge town homes and it is way too small. With the bad economy and even before that we've had alot of trouble with money and my mom cannot support us. I am her oldest daughter and when she isn't home I cook and clean and try to do the besgt I can to help my mom raise my sister but I recently broke my ankle and had to get serious surgery on it. I am now in a wheel chair for at least 8 weeks and cannot help as much as I need to and its worse in this small house and espeacially because my mother has a heart condition. It gets harder and harder and only worse when one of us breaks down. I love my mom and just typing this makes my heart ache because I cant do anything but ask you for help. Ty I'm begging for a way out of the small house, a way to keep my mom better for a while and some way to let me try to be a kid again but help her too. Ty I'm begging you for a chance... so please if you can help us, do.

My name is Krystal and my mom is handicap. The doctor says she has the neck of a 6month baby and the body of an 80yr old woman...and she is only 58 yrs old. My dad and i have tried to help her as much as we can and my dad has been working on making our house able for my mom but no matter how many ramps we put on, it still hardly helps. My dad is ok but not in the "best" health. My grandma lives us also. And it's hard for her to get around sometimes also. How do i get help? I want my mom to be able to take showers like normal people and be able to get dresses easier. she can barley walk. she walks with a walker and can't leave the house without her scooter chair. which is why dad and i built the ramps. it's hard to see my mom like this. what do i do?

We are in the process of getting a group of members together to apply for your show. Some member are concerned that if chosen for this show that a large portion of our church will be changed some of the historical value and memorys could be hindered. Is it possible for us to apply for help with one area that so badly needs help while requesting that other aspects of our church remain unchanged.

Also, Have you checked back with the Vardon family from Oak Park, MI? On the show, you said that Mr. Vardon worked as an auto worker. Has he lost his job and are they in danger of losing their home? I sure hope not.

Good morning/afternoon/evening/day! My name is Julia and I'm a college student at USC (Los Angeles, CA) originally from Folsom, CA. I'm just wondering how I can volunteer because Extreme Makeover: Home Edition combines two of my favorite things: building and volunteering. I've tried to find a site online or a link to a site, but I haven't been successful in finding anything. Also, if there's ever anything in the area, I'm positive me and my fellow theatre majors who work building sets would love to lend a hand (we're practiced in construction, painting, moving furniture, etc... we do it all). Thank you and have a good one!

My name is Georgia Jones and I live in Donalsonville, GA which is as far south and west in Georgia that you can go without being in Florida or Alabama. I have read the application to apply and I would like to tell my families story. I just need to know since we currently rent would we be eligible. I know that this house could not be made over because its not ours. The house we were buying burned down in 2003 and then in April of 2009 our other house(we were renting) flooded. My husband is a Paramedic of 10 years and has not worked a day this year due to an on the job back injury and has had two back surgeries this year. I have been in school since 2006 and I am about to graduate in December with my Bachelors Degree in Accounting. I have applied for several jobs and none have came through. I would just like to know would we be eligible to apply? We love your show and cry when we watch it, it's so amazing. My husband becomes so emotional because he's always been the one helping others and now he is in need of help. wmga@windstream.net

I watch your show religiously...words can not express the way i feel about it, you are the most heart felt, caring show that i have ever watched(except passion of the christ of course), if your show was on 24 hours i would watch it, you are angels from above, God bless each and every one of you, you are awsome to say the least.I hope your journey goes on and on, you are a real blessing to those who need your help. Thanks for making my day each and everyday.

I hope to become a architect or pusure in a career like your's. I live in western NY and I prey every night that my parenst will find the money to finish my house. You see when my parents bought a house, they bought this old barn house. they fixed it up, but now that im 13 and my two younger sister and me are born things have be ruined. The carpet was once white and now it is a puck brown color. There are cracks every where, and i dont even have a working front door. My dad always had said he would get to it, but my sister Hannah having diffuctes learning and listening most of our time and money goes to help her. Times are tough and money is low but if you could help my family it would just be a miricle. This is one thing i will never forget. You see before my grqandma passed away, she gave the bigest suprise i have ever heard. SHe sat us all down and told us that she was giving us 50,000 dollars to fix up our house. My grqandpa not by blood he was like a step grandpa, because my real grandpa ran away when my dad was 5. Anyway th epoint is after my grandmother had passed away from 7 years of cancer, my grandfather diened her ever saying that. My dreams were crushed i still cry all the time because i miss her and to know that she saved her whoel life for my family and for my step grandpa to do that makes everything even worse, And I prey every night that my parents wont get a divorce. That they wont run away, or leave us here. My dad says he can't stand the way that we live and that he wants to leave. I don't know how to make things better. My sink does not work when i let it run for more then 10 seconds it comes back. The dish washer now floods. Everything seems to be getting worse everyday. My dad does not have a job, and my mother can't do it all, not in these times. SO please please i amd begging you to help us. if you have the chance to just read this in your bussy life it would mean the world to me. ANd if you want to can call me number anytime its (716)-444-3058 i would give you my home number but I no longer have a home phone. If you give me a call i can tell you the full story because trust me, if you call i will cry in joy. Please help us. I heard you are remodeling a house in western new york and my house isn't to far away. If you could just please help my dream come true I would thankyou everyday. Thankyou for your time.
