jenhille, the thing you need to understand about "Desperate Housewives" is that those women are survivors. You need to put yourself in their shoes before proceeding to judge them. Bree was jealous, and she acted based on that. Lynette was looking out for herself and for her family, they are going through a rough time with twins on the way, and Preston in Europe and Tom in college and Lynette being the sole bread winner, times are hard and she needs to take care of her clan the best way she possibly can. Regarding Susan, she was being unfair, yes, but let's not forget her daughter had been attacked and she only did that because she wanted justice for her daughter. Put yourself in her position, you would had acted the exact same way once you realized someone you love had been hurt by someone and you thought that someone was, let's say, Danny. You would had done the exact same thing, so don't pretend to be better than those characters because you're not and you know it. jenhille, you need to look at both sides of the road before crossing it. I fail to see your problem, Lynette is currently being punished for her previous actions, Susan knows now she was wrong and she made it up to the Bolens and I'm pretty sure Bree isn't proud of that "oil-spilling" moment. I don't see "Desperate Housewives" as a show that promotes criminal activity, I see it as a show that lets people know it is wrong and there are consequences, even if you only feel bad inside (that's one of the worst consequences of all). Think before you criticize.

I doubt Marc Cherry, who is busy planning out season six and has three more seasons to produce after this one is preparing the movie, which he said should only come out like ten years after the series ends.

The exception being Lynette's son Preston, playe by Charlie Carver. Only one of the twins re-signed with the show. If you check the credits "Max Carver" is only listed. The show explained at the conlusion of season five that Preston would be going to Europe in spite of Lynette's dissapproval. Perhaps "Renaboss" should pay more attention.

He refused this idea. It was adressed in the second season when one of the kids came down with chicken pox. Tom called Lynette from work to watch the kids fearing he would catch the pox. He was golfing in his front yard and chatting with Carlos when his wife overheard Carlos remark about not wanting to "shoot blanks". When Lynette questioned Tom, he informed Lynette that chicken pox coukd result in male infertility. Lynette responded by reminding Tom how it was mute point seeing how they were going to have any more children. Tom then pointed out his desire to procreate if Lynette were to die, and he was to remarry. Lynette cornered him into going to have the procedure. Tom came home from the doctor and told Lynette he couldn't do it. He claimed that he felt the procedure would emasculate him. He admitted it was irrational but he reminded Lynette that he supported her irrationinal fears as well. To my knowlege the subject has not been adressed further.

Regarding MJ, he is still a supporting character and he pops up occasionally.

Benjamin Katz, Bree's only grandson was re-introduces in Episode 503 entitled "Kids Ain't Like Everybody Else". In the season opener it was revealed that five years had elapsed since the conclusion of season four. In flashback scene's we see Danielle at her mother's house taking her son Benjamin from Bree. In episode 503 we learn that Danielle is now married to Leo Katz a lawyer specializing in environmental law. Danielle, Leo and Benjamin are paying a visit to her parents. Bree takes issue with many of Danielle's parental decisions including Benjamin adressing her by her first name, his education (he's being home schooled by Danielle), and the fact that he's being raised as a vegetarian. When Bree takes Benjy to the park she manipulates him into eating two hotdogs to reassurt her authority. Danielle finds out about this at a family dinner when Benjy vomits the two hotdogs. Needless to say, she is less than thrilled at declares they are leaving in the morning. Additionally, Danielle reclamied Benjy from Bree when he was about 2 years old. It was never specifically stated whether or not Leo legally adopted Benjy upon his marriage to Danielle. Also, Benjy's biological father Austin McCann has not been adressed so we don't know if he has been in contact with him. This is the last we have heard from the Katz family. Hopefully we will learn more in the near future. Also an interestingly ironic note: Benjy is being raised Jewish. This is ironic because when Bree had him circumcised without Orson's permission (they were posing as his parents) Bree took him to a friend's Bris to perform the circumcision. She lied to the rabbi telling him this was her grandmother's last wish to see the baby circumcised. When informed by the rabbi that she wasmaking a sacred covenant with God to raise Benjy in the Jewish faith, Bree replied: "I promie you this baby will be as devout a jew as I am. Not saying much seeing how she presbyterian. But it's nice to know God kept her to her promise!

I probably should let it go, but the issue in a way doesn't feel resolved to me. Just seems sometimes the history of what actually happened tends to be shall we say a little looser with Lynette than other characters. If it's not the promotion it's something else.

burningrose1987, Lynette never begged. She never even asked the boss's wife to kill the promotion. She answered the question "Aren't you happy " with a half hearted yes and said she hoped Tom wouldn't regret missing birthday parties and baseball games. Hardly a shocker that a guy with 4 small kids has to deal with issues of family time vs work time when taking a promotion with more traveling. Hardly odd for a wife to have a concern (it would be more strange not to have it). Too standard a concern to scream out Kill the promotion or that there is an emergency at home. Lynette feeling guilty doesn't mean she was responsible. Actually I don't even know if it was half as much feeling guilty as it was protecting Tom's ego and keeping him from finding out he wasn't wanted.

Didn't Lynette ACTUALLY beg his boss' wife to tell her husband not to give Tom the promotion so that they could have more family time? (Or at least so they wouldn't get even less?) I don;t think there was a scene about it, but I remember her feeling guilty about it...at least I think I do.

MJ is a regular character this season, and he's already been in 3 episodes. Pay more attention.

Gloria didn't die, she suffered a paralyzing stroke.

The thing is Gloria died in DH and that would be a cool idea for a storyline but as a new season or season finale.

Now I can't help but feel that Katherine isn't desperate--merely pathetic. Granted her life spiraled in a downward slope. Whose hasn't at some point or another. She has made some really poor choices. (ie: dating her "best friend's" ex-husband, ruining her business partners career). I think Marc Cherry should send her away for the holiday's to get help, bring her back in the new year with goal's for herself. For example, while working with Bree, she alway's felt that she was doing the "heavy lifting" whilst Bree was taking the credit. She made mention that Bree's work was inferior to her's. If Katherine truly felt this was true, the best revenge would be to open her own business and kick Bree's butt to the curb! As for her personal life, I think the writer's should focus on giving Katherine a man who (a) has no relation to Susan Delfino (b) is OVER 18 (need we foreget Susan's cousin Tim) (c) No criminal record (or at least a man who doesn't harvest organs from living persons). I think Katherine could and should be interesting again. There's still hope and long as we can get rid of "Crazy Katherine"!

I don't agree that Katherine is "evil" persay. I do believe that she is mentally unstable and could benefit from some time in a psychiatric facility. Obviously spying on the Delfino family, keying Bree's car, trying to seduce Susan's husband... these are all signs of a psychotic breakdown. Personally, I liked Katherine in season 4 when she was intoduced. Dana Delaney truly nailed the story down. Her chemistry with Gary Cole (Wayne) felt geniuine.

Actually if Kayla was rapidly aged at the same rate as her twin half brothers she'd be 21or 22 by now. If we are supposed to buy they are 18 she's almost 4 years older than they are.

Kayla Hunninton Scavo was evil! She provocked her half-brother into jumping off of a roof resuting in a broken arm, pinned Lynette for child abuse! She publically threatned Lynette's four year old daughter. I personally don't agree with slapping a child, but in her case, I think it was well-deserved! She was 13 at the end of season 4 by now she would be 19. Probably, knocked up and working the street's like her mother.

I kind of think the playing the sweet looking innocent little girl is what allowed Kayla to slip under the radar and create so much chaos. She was actually a teenager by the time she was sent to her grandparents. It sure would be interesting to see what an adult Kayla is up to now.

Gabrielle's two daughters both appear. The younger one, Celia, is a recurring co-star and is rarely seen when compared to her sibling, but she has already been in 4 episodes this season. Bree's son Andrew is no longer a part of the main cast because the actor who portrays him, Shawn Pyfrom, wanted to pursue other projects, probably because he felt he was being underused, particularly since in the first two seasons we was all evil and interesting and starting with season three he became all good and boring. He was made a "star" in season five and yet he was absent from a ton of episodes, I guess the actor grew tired of not being given the proper use.

He did. Edie Britt was killed in Season 5 "A Spark. To Pierce The Dark." and "Look In To Their Eyes And You See What They Know". At the conclusion of the episode she swerved her car into a utlity pole to avoid running over Orson. When she stepped out of her car, the power lines were down, she stepped into a puddle while touching her car door and was sadly electrocuted. Curiously, he had been trying to off Edie since the end of Season 3 with her "fake- suicide-bid-for-Carlos'-attention, then at season 4 when she was ceremoniously "evicted" from the lane by the fab four. (Lynette, Bree, Gaby and Susan).
