ACTOR BIO

Ms. Ehlers studied at a performing-arts school and spent a year at Syracuse University before leaving for a job on Guiding Light. Early in her career, she co-starred with Bette Davis in the TV movie Family Reunion. She has also appeared in The Wilder Summer and In Defense of Kids. Her big-screen debut came in The Hunger, with David Bowie and Susan Sarandon.

Two years later, Ms. Ehlers debuted on Guiding Light and stayed on the soap for six years. A fan favorite, she had a guest spot on the show's 60th-anniversary special in 1997, which led to her rejoining the cast. She remained with the show until 2008, when she moved to All My Children.

Beth and her two children live in New York City.
