Annie looks so innocent, right? Wrong. Annie's had a tough life, and it shows - as her ruthlessness (and questionable sanity) is chilling to most.

  • Realized ex-husband Terry McDermott seduced teenaged girls. Annie divorced and wasn't awarded full custody. Fearing for the safety of her daughter, she went on the run with Emma

ACTOR BIO

Melissa Claire Egan joined the cast of All My Children in 2006 in the role of Annie.

Originally from Bedford, NY, Ms. Egan grew up with an extensive background in musical theatre, singing and dancing, taking a multitude of classes in New York City as a child. While still a child, she began booking national television commercials and was signed by the Ford Modeling Agency.

Ms. Egan graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Dramatic Arts. During college she appeared in many plays, including Marvin's Room, How I Learned to Drive, The Birthday Party and Pippin. She also studied Shakespeare at the British American Drama Academy at Oxford, England.

Upon graduating college, Ms. Egan began acting professionally. Her television credits include One Tree Hill and Dawson's Creek, and she starred in the independent film Wrestling.

This is not Ms. Egan's first time appearing on All My Children. At the age of 12, she made her debut on the show as an extra.
