Emmy Award winner Debbi Morgan returned to All My Children in January 2008, reprising the role of Dr. Angela Hubbard. Ms. Morgan originated the role in 1982 and played Angie until 1990. From 1993-1997, Ms. Morgan portrayed Angie on the ABC Daytime dramas Loving and The City.
Originally from Dunn, NC, Ms. Morgan's career began in 1976, with her first recurring role on the television series What's Happening. In 1979, she went on to play the role of Elizabeth Harvey in Alex Haley's miniseries, Roots: The Next Generation. Her list of television credits include; For the People, Soul Food, Generations, Charmed, Boston Public, The Bold and the Beautiful, Strong Medicine, and the ABC Daytime dramas General Hospital and Port Charles, to name a few. She also served as a judge on the SOAPnet original reality series I Wanna Be a Soap Star
Ms. Morgan's film credits include; Coach Carter, Back in the Day, Women Thou Art Loosed, Love & Basketball, The Hurricane, She's All That, Asunder, Eve's Bayou and Mandingo.
Ms. Morgan won the 1989 Daytime Emmy for her portrayal of Angie on All My Children. In 1998, she received the CFCA Award (Chicago Film Critics Association Award) and the Independent Spirit Award for her role in Eve's Bayou. In 2002, she was awarded the NAACP Image award for her role in Soul Food.
