Carly tries to rationalize her thinking as she explains to Jason she needs him to claim to be the father of her baby if she is indeed pregnant with Sonny's baby. As she sees it, Sonny would demand to be part of the baby's life, so if a paternity test shows Jax is not the father, Jason has to claim it to protect the child from Sonny. Carly takes the pregnancy test and learns he's not pregnant. Meanwhile, Kate's arrival doesn't allow for Sonny to give Jax details on why he should insist on Carly taking a paternity test. However, Sonny does defend Carly to Kate. Sonny arrives at Jason's and demands to know if he slept with Carly, while Jax asks Carly if Sonny could be the father of her baby.
Jerry hauls Johnny away at gunpoint after warning Anthony he'll kill Johnny if Anthony doesn't back off Alexis. At the cannery, Johnny gets the upper hand but Jerry warns that if Johnny kills him, Jason will find out the truth about Michael's shooting. Alexis tells Nikolas about Anthony's threats and Jerry's reaction. Nikolas doesn't like Jerry and wants Alexis out of town, but Alexis refuses to leave town. Nikolas threatens Claudia, saying he'll tell Jason about her role in Michael's shooting if any harm comes to Alexis or her girls. Ric warns Alexis to stay away from Jerry.
Matt walks in on Spinelli and Maxie in a compromising position and accuses them of having sex. Maxie, irritated by Matt, claims they were, which only makes Spinelli uncomfortable as he truly loves Maxie. Matt later walks in on Maxie and Lulu together with Spinelli, and tells Spinelli he suspects Spinelli may have a neurological condition that makes him socially inept (!), and wants to know if he wants treatment. Spinelli doesn't want tests to confirm it, happy with the way he is.
Robin reacts to Patrick's petition for visitation with his unborn child. Anna drop kicks him and warns him away from Robin. Later, Anna and Patrick have a talk and Anna becomes convinced Patrick's on the up and up and wants to be part of the baby's life. Elizabeth tells Robin that she (Robin) is the only one that thinks Patrick doesn't want to be part of the baby's life. Anna tells Robin that if she had to testify in court, Anna would testify for Patrick being part of the baby's life.
