Sonny uses his mob persona to intimidate the distribution head that is giving Kate problems about putting Crimson in prominent placements on newsstands. The outcome nets Kate a great deal, but she's angry with Sonny for sticking his nose in her business. Anger turns to passion and the two get closer to having sex when Maxie and Spinelli walk in.
Carly admits to Jax that she's allowing the Zaccharas to stay at the hotel because she thinks it could help Jason. He's upset with her for it.
Jason tells Monica that he's now head of the mob. After learning Sonny signed away his parental rights, Monica realizes Jason took over the mob to fully protect Michael and Morgan. Johnny goes to see Jason.
Spinelli's efforts at romancing a girl at Jake's take an unexpected turn when the object of his affection reveals herself as a lesbian. Maxie orders Spinelli to remove all the negative comments he posted, per Patrick, on Robin's blog. Robin and Patrick clash over what he made Spinelli do, but Patrick refuses to apologize on the blog, which Robin wants. Robin gets a lot more negative comments and realizes they are not from Spinelli.
Claudia threatens Lulu when Lulu makes it clear she doesn't want her anywhere Nikolas. Carly steps in and warns Claudia to back off Lulu. Nikolas visits Emily's grave for the first time since her funeral.
