Claire Coffee originated the role of Nadine Crowell in October of 2007. Nadine came to Port Charles to visit her comatose sister, Jolene, but ending up sticking around with a job at General Hospital. Originally met with wariness by her co-workers, Nadine is kind and genuine and has formed a friendship with Nikolas Cassadine. Though he sees her only as a friend, Nadine longs for them to be something more.
Ms. Coffee's career started at the age of five on stage at the Mountain Play Theater Company in Marin County, California in a production of "The King and I." She continued to work on stage in regional theaters including productions of "Gypsy", "The Sound of Music", "Alice I in Wonderland", and "Bye, Bye, Birdie", until attending Northwestern University where she received a degree in Theater in 2002.
Soon after graduation, Coffee began her television career with roles on many top network and cable series including "Mind of the Married Man", "Cold Case", "Bones", "Strong Medicine", "CSI", "Psych", "My Boys", and "NCIS" as well as a recurring role on "The West Wing". She also had the lead roles in several independent films such as "Leave No Trace", "Death Row", and "Wednesday Again". Most recently, she completed an appearance in the upcoming feature "All About Steve."
Born in San Francisco, California, she enjoys cooking, hiking, apocalyptic science fiction and good looking bugs.
She lives in Los Angeles.
